September 14, 2010 – Los Angeles, CA – Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter, Eartha, proudly announces the release of her third studio CD, Ink Dry Blue, September 21, 2010. Eartha performs at the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles on September 24, at 8 p.m. Eartha’s sophomore 2002 release, Sidebars, earned her two Grammy Award nominations and a win for “Best Contemporary Soul Gospel Album” at the 45th Annual Grammy Awards hosted in New York City in 2003.

The illustrious Grammy recognition came on the heels of the success of her well-received first single, Love Jones, from her 2000 debut CD This I Know. This I Know, when remixed and released as a five mix Maxi-Single in 2001, pumped dance floors from coast-to-coast and shot to the #2 on the Billboard Hot Dance Breakouts Maxi Singles chart. After a seven year hiatus to write, record and produce a multitude of other artists, musicians, and producers throughout Los Angeles in underground club, urban, and indie circles, the 5’11” sultry raspy-voice contralto, who sports a honey-blonde buzz cut, is about to make her presence known again.

Eartha’s third studio release, Ink Dry Blue, in where she wrote all songs and plays all instruments, is being heralded as a re-invention of her award-winning sound and a musical style that is a hybrid of many and evades categorization.

Rolling Out Magazine said of Eartha’s 2001 release, Love Jones, “Many artists have begun infusing all types of sounds into their music, making it diverse and often unpredictable. Eartha is leading the way.” And again, Eartha continues to trail-blaze. Tamaqua, PA – September 8, 2010 – From humble volunteer performances in a small town to releasing his debut CD – singer/songwriter Cody Scott – aims high, but keeps his roots close to heart. Cody’s first public performances were volunteer gigs for the American Cancer Society.

“Back then, music was a hobby for me – it was really the only thing I had to donate to this cause I believe in. It’s amazing to me how local people and fellow volunteers really got behind me and my music – catapulting my songwriting career.” Cody says, of his volunteer beginnings with the ACS.

Cody – who is currently pursuing a degree in education at Bloomsburg University – has been playing music from a young age. This CD contains original music Cody penned throughout the last few years.

Campaign to release in conjunction with new album of same name, due out late November

October 26, 2009 Los Angeles, CA Acclaimed singer/songwriter Lisbeth Scott’s new album, Hope is a Thing, is set to be released on November 10th. The new album will be available for sale on iTunes, Amazon.com, and all digital outlets as well as select venues nationwide. The disc features several collaborations with well-known composers (Harry Gregson-Williams, Nathan Barr) as well as two stirring new covers (Imagine, Hallelujah). Distributed by BFM Digital, Inc., Hope is a Thing will also feature two all-new music videos for the title track Hope is a Thing and Good to Me (originally from the 2008 film Shutter).

During this challenging economic time, Scott wanted to create a musical and visual collection that would remind people of the importance of hanging on to hopes and dreams and the simple, non-material things that open our hearts and bring us joy. Thus the music and video of “Hope Is a Thing” was born. Lisbeth also feels these concepts are often best demonstrated through innocent, youthful eyes, so along-side the album release comes the launch of an innovative web-based world-wide campaign featuring children of all backgrounds and ethnicities who express what it is they hope for in today’s world via the simple image of holding up a hand-created sign. The first phase of the campaign can be seen at www.hopeisathing.com, in the Gallery section. Over the next several weeks, children and schools from all over the world are encouraged to upload their own signs and photos to help boost the awareness of the campaign, as well as the exciting prospect of being featured in the actual music video.

The highly-anticipated music video will be directed by Joseph Greco (Canvas) and shot by Academy-award winning cinematographer Haskell Wexler, who shot such legendary films Bound for Glory, American Graffiti, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, The Thomas Crown Affair and many more. The video aims to give children a voice and focus on the power of hope and vision.

Following in the spirit of the campaign, a portion of proceeds of Scott’s album will go directly to the organization Education Through Music, who’s mission statement reads, At ETM, we believe every child deserves a well-rounded education one that includes music both as a subject in its own right and as a means of supporting learning in other areas.

Scott will be promoting her new album at several upcoming appearances: 11/7 and 11/8 for the official CD and video release parties in LA at the Edgemar Theater in Santa Monica (www.edgemarcenter.org). The 11/8 show is all ages and children are encouraged to bring their own I hope for signs. 11/20 finds Scott in Northern California with a performance at Berkeley’s Rudramandir – a center for spirituality and healing. Scott will also release her debut holiday album Peace on Earth, on October 27th. This album is a mix of new versions of old classics, Dona Nobis Pacem (which Yo Yo Ma calls “Beautifully performed”) and Oh Come All Ye Faithful, as well as original songs. Infused with Lisbeth’s shiver-inducing vocals and arrangements, this album gets to the true healing heart of the holiday season. The daughter of two award winning ball room dancers, Lisbeth Scott was raised as a classical pianist, rehearsing hours a day and headed for a concert career. She studied at The New England Conservatory, Connecticut College and The University of London throughout the 1990′s. Lisbeth decided to head out to Los Angeles where she really began to discover her voice… as did the film world. Scott’s vocals can be heard on over 50 blockbuster films including The Passion of the Christ, Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, And The Wardrobe, Shrek 1 and 2, and Steven Spielberg’s Munich in which legendary composer, John Williams wrote a five minute solo specifically for her. Mr. Anderson began playing guitar when he was 8-years-old and started his first band in his teens. Since then, he has been part of several different groups, including, in the early ‘90s, Animal Logic, which also featured former drummer of The Police, Stewart Copeland; and legendary fusion bassist, Stanley Clarke. He later joined Ednaswap in 1993 and played on the band’s four major label releases. Mr. Anderson is also known for his involvement in various musical projects from a cross-section of widely celebrated artists.

His most notable gig came in 2001 when he was invited to play and sing on Paul McCartney’s Driving Rain, which led to the birth of the Paul McCartney Band with which Mr. Anderson has since played hundreds of shows all over the world. NYC singer-songwriter Tim Williams is poised to release his sophomore album, Careful Love, digitally on October 20, 2009 via Dovecote Records (Ed Harcourt, Mason Proper, Trevor Giuliani). Careful Love falls in line behind the release of the “I Hit Another Wall” EP and “Murderous Air” single and is Williams’ first full length since 2007s acclaimed When Work Is Done. “Murderous Air” was recently featured on the CW series One Tree Hill and both “Murderous Air” and the “I Hit Another Wall” EP are available via iTunes.

Careful Love chronicles Williams’ battle between life and death, joy and pain. Following the release and touring around When Work Is Done, Williams’ frail heart required intensive surgery where his left pulmonary valve would need to be replaced. After agonizing months of planning, Williams underwent the painstaking procedure in the summer of 2008, which left him in recovery — physically, mentally and emotionally. Enduring an event of this magnitude inevitably makes its way to expressions in Williams’ songs. Using the surgery as his muse, Williams penned ?I Hit Another Wall.? ?I wrote the song as a reminder of how lucky I was to make it through,? he explains. ?It was physically the most painful experience in my life.?

In the midst of Williams’ physical healing, he was also dealing with perils of a long-distance relationship. He wrote all the songs for Careful Love within a week upon returning home from his first trip to Los Angeles. Williams recalls, “Having lived in Brooklyn for such a long time prior to moving to Nashville, I was programmed to hate the sun soaked city. I was still recovering from heart surgery at the time and was trying to get over the feeling that all the work they did inside me would somehow unravel causing an emergency trip to a hospital or worse.” Instead, Williams fell in love with LA and those thoughts were almost immediately removed from his mind. Williams penned six songs that would find their way onto Careful Love, packed his bags and moved back to NYC, to be close to family and the doctors who saved his life.

Careful Love boasts ten tracks, all which flow effortlessly together both musically and lyrically. Williams’ auditory diary brings you into his journey over the past year, chronicling the range of emotions he experienced throughout this tough time. From the head-bobbing pop opener, “I Hit Another Wall,” to the dark, beat-driven “Ozone Street,” the twangy “All In,” to the crooning “Murderous Air,” Williams’ pop sensibilities bob and weave through the rollercoaster ride that is Careful Love. The album was recorded in Los Angeles with producer Dave Lynch. Pre-production began at The Light Garden studio (owned by Shana Levy of Let’s Go Sailing) and was completed at The Ship (Aaron Espinoza of Earlimart’s studio,) both located in Eagle Rock.

The video for “I Hit Another Wall” was filmed in Detroit, MI and directed by Hott Garbage. The NSFW clip profiles the trials and tribulations of children growing up all too fast in blue collar America. Think HBOs The Wire meets Larry Clark’s “Kids,” except these kids are years away from even being able to drive. This still is a virgin peek into the utterly crass world Hott Garbage has created. Luckily, no children were harmed during the shooting of this video.

As a touring guitarist for Calexico, Zavala has toured the world, most recently playing shows in the United States with the Decemberists and Andrew Bird. But his own material is on display, too: Not only did he play at this year’s SXSW, but the songs he’s written with Calexico (“Victor Jara’s Hands,” for example, off last year’s “Carried to Dust”) are a constant part of the band’s repertoire.
