It’s Easy To Support Music With Goodshop!

Supporting Music with GoodshopSummer is fast approaching, and I know you’re starting to think all things warm weather: grilling, traveling, sundresses, fireworks. What if there was a way to buy all the things you need for Summer and also support your favorite music non-profit at the same time? Thanks to Goodshop, there is.

I wrote about Goodshop in November—during their awesome Goodshop Sunday initiative, which urged consumers to buy “gifts that give back” during the popular Black Friday shopping weekend. And now I’m writing about them again, because I thought you’d be interested in some of the cool things they’ve been up to. As a refresher—Goodshop is a quickly growing online coupons company that donates a percentage of each of your purchases to the non-profit, church, or school of your choice. They are connected with thousands of non-profits and offer equally as many top-notch coupons. Last month, Goodshoppers helped raise nearly $48,000 for their favorite causes, and the staff donated almost $2,000 to three lucky causes that won their Spread Love Valentine’s Day sweepstakes. Another, even bigger, sweepstakes is coming up this Mother’s Day, and in order to get you excited for that, I wanted to draw your attention to some of the awesome non-profits you could support while using Goodshop coupons.

Five non- profits that you could be helping every time you buy or search online:

· The Fender Music Foundation, a non-profit that awards instruments to music education programs.

· Mr. Holland’s Opus, a foundation which collects and donates used instruments to schools.

· Roots of Music, which provides free, year-round, music education programs for children in New Orleans, LA.

· VH1 Save The Music, which is dedicated to restoring instrumental music education in America’s Public Schools.

· New Orleans Musicians Relief Fund, a grass roots charity founed by displaced New Orleans musicians after Hurricane Katrina, they provide grants, instruments and gigs for New Orleans musicians.

Check out Goodshop’s website to learn more about how their social business works, and register with an awesome music non-profit today. And, here are some coupons to help get you in the shopping and donating mood:
