India Celebrates its 60th Year of Independence

Music forms a large part of the Independence Day (Swatantrata Divas) celebrations in India. The Radio and Television channels play a variety of patriotic film songs that create a feeling of nostalgia among the listeners and transports them to that historic year when India regained its freedom.

Besides this, various cultural programmes are organised that feature classical music and dance performances by a plethora of talented artists.
