Young Concert Pianist, Utsav Lal, 17 yrs old has been credited with giving the piano lovers a slice of Indian Ragas and has taken Ragas on Piano to globally acclaimed heights. Over 80 Piano concerts at worldwide prestigious venues & Festivals, Utsav has earned the title of “Raga Pianist” in music circles & has been featured by worldwide Press, TV & Radio channels.
The youngest winner of Ireland’s multicultural MAMA Awards 2008, Utsav’s music has drawn huge universal appeal across Jazz, Western & Indian Classical music lovers. In his upcoming concerts Utsav performs at The National Concert Hall, Dublin on Sept 8th, Southbank Centre, London on Nov 7th & at Konsert Huset, Sweden on Nov 13th, 2009.
The theme of the Concert Tour “Ragas Dance Off Piano Keys” will take mesmerizing renditions & creative expressions of Indian Classical Ragas by Utsav Lal on the Grand Piano presented along with the accompaniment of Tabla, to music lovers at different venues across India.
Utsav will be accompanied on Tabla by Rhythm Queen- Anuradha Pal (www.anuradhapal.com) in Delhi, Suryaksha Deshpande in Mumbai, Gurumurthy Vaidya in Bangalore & Ratnashree in Cochin.
During this Tour, Utsav also conducts a series of Piano Workshops titled “Breaking Boundaries” aimed to focus on performance aspects & improvisational skills. Organized by India’s leading Music House Furtados, young aspiring music students in the cities of Mumbai, Bangalore & Delhi/NCR can participate in three hour workshops to be conducted free by Utsav in each location.
