Country Fried Rock Announces Its “Best of 2012” Favorite Radio Shows of the Year Were Chosen by Listeners
List Includes Special Interviews with Ray Wylie Hubbard, Peter Holsapple of The dB’s, and Brian Venable of Lucero
[NASHVILLE, TN – January 30, 2013] Musicians open up to Sloane Spencer like patrons at a familiar diner do to their favorite server. Each week, she features in-depth conversations with songwriters on the syndicated radio program Country Fried Rock. For artists who typically express themselves in five minutes or less, Country Fried Rock gives them a platform for thoughtful reflection on their craft, their history, and where they are headed.
Country Fried Rock’s Best of 2012, which were selected by listeners, includes roots music icon Ray Wylie Hubbard, jangle pop legends The dB’s, and the Memphis-tinged punk country band Lucero. Notably, Country Fried Rock radio programs honor emerging and taste-maker musicians in the same way as they do legends, giving them equal footing for sharing their music and why they create what they do. Each program features current music from the focus musician, and several of the songs that have influenced their writing.
