Bridgeport, CT — The 17th annual Gathering of the Vibes kicks off the holidays on ‘Black Tie Dye Friday,’ November 25, 2011, when VIP and Weekend Early Bird tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. at www.GOVIBES.com. Well known as the Northeast’s most family friendly music festival destination, Gathering of the Vibes will deliver a four-day extravaganza of eclectic music, arts, and community July 19-22, 2012 at Bridgeport’s magnificent 370-acre Seaside Park. The Vibes is an all ages event offering an exclusive family camping area, Kids Corner, and Teen Scene, welcoming both campers and single day visitors. Kids 12 & under are admitted free when accompanied by an adult.

“Music fans can sleep in late knowing that the perfect gift or stocking stuffer awaits them just a mouse click away,” says Ken Hays, festival founder. “What could be better than gifting someone you love, a live musical experience they’ll remember for the rest of their lives?”

A limited number of VIP Passes will be available and include expedited, exclusive entry, rock-star parking with easy in/out access, shaded camping areas along with catered meals, snacks, and beverages. VIP ticket holders also have access to air conditioned bathroom trailers and hot showers. Located stage left on the concert field, the VIP hospitality tent and viewing platforms offer exceptional stage sightlines as well as the opportunity to mix and mingle with artists.

Early Bird Weekend Passes will be available for a limited time for $175, a sizeable savings over the gate price. RV passes are also available on a first come basis. Shuttle bus service will once again transport festival attendees to and from Seaside Park and many local area hotels, the Bridgeport-Port Jefferson Ferry, as well as the Bridgeport train and bus stations.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: APRIL 12, 2011, BUCKS COUNTY, PA – Jam At The Grove Music Festival is coming back to the stage for the fifth time after a six year sabbatical. The event will take place from August 12-14 2011 at Tower Farm in Bucks County Pennsylvania.

Tickets are available now. Produced by Jason Flager and Marc Gallo of Tower Farm, the two hope to bring back an annual tradition for new audiences as well as steadfast fans. “Jam at the Grove was created to introduce new bands to music fans,” said Flager, VP of Jam at the Grove. “This is an opportunity for artists, local bands, and national acts to collaborate and celebrate exceptional music and art with awesome fans.”

For Tower Farm owner Marc Gallo, this festival strikes a sentimental chord. “It is an honor to organize and host a music and arts festival for my local community on the property I grew up on,” said Gallo. “It’s a symbiotic relationship at it’s finest!”

The lineup is filled with homecomings, reunions, and first-timers. Bands include: Conspirator, Psychedelphia, Sophistafunk, Roots of Creation, Papadosio, Wyllys, Kung Fu, The Indobox, Jimkata, Kuf Knotz, Jones Street Station, Sonic Spank, Grimace Federation, Somata, The Dirk Quinn Band, Xylos, Flux Capacitor, Pongo’s, Groove, FiKus, SpiTune, Wynrise, Trouble City All-Stars, Wineskin, MIXXTAPE.

The Jam will also be Featuring DJ’s: ADUB, Honkeytron, and Speakerbot. Vendors so far include: Shady Grove Wraps, Harry’s Homeblown, DooDayDaze, Yellow Sky Crafts, Adam Rameseyer and Ramstar Jewerly and Wraps.

But wait there’s more! For the first time, there will be a Kid Zone. Entertainment, arts, and crafts will be available in a safe environment for children with complete supervision.

Collaborative Classical Music Festival Hits the Long Center June 22-27

April 27, 2010 AUSTIN, TX – Further diversifying Austin’s music landscape, the 2010 Guitar Foundation of America International Convention & Competition makes its way to the Long Center for the Performing Arts on June 22-27. The event includes what is widely recognized as the world’s most prestigious international classical guitar competition. Hosted this year by the Austin Classical Guitar Society, this unique festival vision draws together 12 collaborating artistic partners ranging from the Austin Symphony and Austin Lyric Opera, to Zach Scott Theater, the Alamo Drafthouse, Austin Children’s Museum and many more.

Six days of more than 60 events include a classical guitar competition, which involves contestants from over 25 countries, numerous education opportunities, a youth festival, vendor fair, headline concerts and evening receptions. After seeing great success in 2009, the event will once again welcome all participants to perform in the closing Guitar Orchestra.

New to this year’s schedule is the first-ever Guitar Foundation of America Presenters’ Congress, which provides training programs for presenters and unprecedented networking opportunities for players and managements. Another addition is the Youth Orchestra, bringing together middle school and high school guitar programs from around the United States for a collaborative performance.

Tulsa, OK – The largest music festival and conference in the Midwest today announced the second round of artists to headline this year’s event. Cake, Mates of State, Ra Ra Riot, Dengue Fever, The Cool Kids, Carney, Ian Moore, Here II Here and Manda Mosher are confirmed acts for Dfest, July 24 and 25 in downtown Tulsa. Organizers also announced a long list of unsigned artists scheduled to perform.

“With roughly two months to go until show time, we are in awe of the way this year’s Dfest has mushroomed into our biggest and most diverse event ever,” said Tom Green, Dfest founder. “The support and enthusiasm of our new sponsors, partners and venues has created an unprecedented level of energy and excitement.”

The second round headliners will join previously announced headliners The Black Crowes, Blue October, Gil Mantera’s Party Dream, Gogol Bordello, Ozomatli, The Uglysuit, Dub Trio, and Joe Pug. Emerging artists Adam’s Attic, Ali Harter, Callupsie, Coco Jones, Crocodile and Daniel Walcher have also been previously announced. There are approximately 25 more emerging artists who will be added to the lineup within the next two weeks.

The conference side of the festival has been expanded this year to include The Grammy Foundation and MusiCares for emerging artists and managers. A music manager’s forum will also take place during the conference. Hosted by the Music Managers Forum – US, this new partnership gives participants the opportunity to discuss the issues and problems facing the music industry. Yoga and conscious living also have been added to the conference, in collaboration with wellness leaders around the state, to offer conference attendees a more complete approach to success in the music industry.

Dfest 2008 featured 150 artists representing more than 20 musical genres on a dozen stages in downtown Tulsa’s historic Blue Dome District.

The two-day multi-genre music festival fused with a music industry conference was established in 2002 to help emerging artists gain exposure and connect with the music industry. The conference consists of music panels, a tradeshow, music clinics and artist mentoring. Each night, national recording artists perform on large outdoor festival stages while top local, regional and national emerging artists perform on a multitude of outdoor stages, indoor venues and club stages.
